PRINCIPAL SALES ENGINEER

We are looking for a key, early employee who has a combination of in-depth software engineering experience including development on the AWS Cloud Platform, and excellent customer-facing experience and skills. Responsibilities

  • Be a main contributor to sales by analyzing and helping to close Cloud / IoT sales opportunities

  • Periodically have a hands-on software design and development role

  • Attend sales meetings with potential clients in person, online and over the phone

  • Leverage your experience with the AWS Cloud Platform and/or IoT and/or Big Data and/or Analytics

  • Present the technical value of Here Engineering to executives within our clients’ organizations

  • Draft and edit detailed technical content for proposals

  • Initiate proactive and strong follow up with potential clients to help close business

  • Log actions into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

  • Some travel required within the US

 

Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering or scientific degree

  • Five years hands-on software development experience in Java for Linux and/or Unix OS. Experience with additional object-oriented languages and additional operating systems a plus

  • A good understanding of the capabilities and use cases of Amazon Web Services with least 2 years’ hands-on software development experience with AWS (e.g.: EC2, S3, Data Transfer, RDS, SNS, SQS) is absolutely required

  • Experience developing Cloud / IoT solutions in the Healthcare Technology, Automotive, Industrial, Consumer Devices or Financial industries

  • Experience working directly with clients in a sales support role

  • Experience with Big Data and/or Analytics is a plus

  • Very strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively to executives

  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills required

  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
